History

Co-founders Richard S. Francis, President, and Robert E. Sapp, Executive Vice President, launched GT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in August 2007 through the acquisition of GT Logistics, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Order Logistics. Mr. Francis and Mr. Sapp relied heavily on their ten year working relationship and recognized the benefit of combining their industry experience to create a new, technology-driven company with a wide range of operational experience. The change to GT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. reflected a shift in focus to the heavy haul niche. From its first year in operations, GT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. grew in sales revenue from $3 million in 2007 to $20 million in 2010.

In May 2010, the company bought certain assets of Raytrans Trucking to support current logistics activity. Raytrans operates 70 trucks with terminals located strategically throughout the United States. With a management team that represents some of the most diversely experienced logistics professionals in the industry, GT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. continues to service the steel, power generation, and railroad industries with an unmatched degree of professionalism and expertise.
